B'Frienders: Ministry of Consolation to the Bereaved

When a member of Christ’s body dies, the faithful are called to a ministry of consolation to those who have suffered the loss of one whom they love. Parish members are invited and encouraged to participate in this ministry in the following ways:

• participating in funeral services

• praying for the deceased

• comforting those who mourn,

• volunteering to serve as a member of the B'Frienders.

B' Frienders is a group of parishioners who may be available to assist a parish family with their funeral reception, i.e. “house-sit” during services; set up and/or serve at the family gathering after the funeral services. All requests for B' Frienders services must be made through the Parish Office.
